Placing An Order

Delivery Times

DELIVERY TIMES Unless otherwise specified on the product page or elsewhere, products in stock will be shipped within 24 hours. All other products will ship within 1-12 weeks. For quick answers regarding lead time, please call our sales team at 646-340-3033 or use our LiveChat feature.

ModernClassic.com cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by inclement weather, strikes, or supplier inconvenience. If you wish to check the status of your delivery, please send an email to [email protected], and we will respond within 24 business hours. Unless specified otherwise, all deliveries will be curbside. If you require additional services (such as White Glove or inside delivery), please contact us at [email protected] for a quote. Please note that using the delivery company's lift gate will incur an additional fee of $60.00 for the customer.

We use delivery company names on our website for illustrative and advertising purposes only. ModernClassic is not associated or affiliated with these companies. We will use our discretion to fulfill the delivery of your product, using the best carrier for your delivery location. If you finance your purchase with Affirm and one or more items in your order has an extended ship date, your loan payment(s), including interest, may be due before the merchant ships all of the items. Please note that you may not receive a rebate of any interest that may have already accrued on an amount that later gets refunded.

Early Cancellation

After an order is placed and payment is authorized, it is considered confirmed. We make every effort to ship our products promptly, and in some cases, we may ship the product on the same day as the confirmed order. If you cancel your order after it has been shipped, the cancellation will be treated as a return.

If you paid for your order using a credit card, any cancellation requests received after placing the order will be subject to a 4% cancellation fee. This fee covers banking charges, order processing fees, credit card charges, and administrative costs. Once an order is canceled by the customer, we will immediately refund the agreed-upon amount.

Returns And Exchanges

Our goal is to ensure your satisfaction with every purchase you make on our online store.

If for any reason you are not satisfied, you may return the product within 7 days of delivery for a refund, minus the original shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee. The product must be in its original packaging, double boxed, unused, and undamaged. We do not cover return transportation costs, nor are we responsible for the return shipping of the product. Please insure the item for the full amount paid on the original order and provide 2-3 photos of the problem area for returns due to defects, damage or color variation issues. Returned items must include all originally provided accessories and be in the original packaging. Customers are responsible for both the return and outbound shipping costs. To request a return, please email [email protected] for a RMA number and instructions on returning the item. Any unauthorized merchandise will be refused.

Refunds and exchanges will be processed within 10 business days after the product has been returned to our premises and inspected to confirm it is in its original condition.

If you are returning an item as part of a promotional "FREE SHIPPING" or subsidized shipping, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from the credit. Please do not discard the item until a resolution has been reached. If you are exchanging a product, all fees, including shipping, handling, administrative, processing, and restocking fees, will be deducted from the final amount.

If there is any balance, it will be issued in the form of store credit. Customer is responsible for all outbound shipping costs of all exchanged items.

For freight/LTL deliveries, tracking is not always available within 24 hours of shipping. In case of cancellation requests, the original shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee will apply even if tracking is not yet available.

If any returned item is returned to us with shipping damage, it is the customer’s responsibility to file a freight claim and seek reimbursement from the carrier.

Chargebacks

Instead of initiating a chargeback with your bank, which can be a cumbersome process and result in multiple chargebacks on your account, we encourage you to contact us directly at [email protected] or by phone at 646-340-3033. We are committed to resolving any issues related to charges promptly and to your satisfaction.

Damaged Goods

All items are enclosed in cardboard boxes and prepared for transportation over long distances. When you receive your package, please inspect the box thoroughly for any scratches, blemishes or punctures. A damaged box may indicate that the products inside are also damaged.

We confirm that your purchase was delivered to the freight carrier in impeccable condition from our warehouse. It is imperative that you thoroughly examine the entire package and its contents for any signs of damage or discrepancies before signing the delivery receipt. Failure to report any damages, shortages or cosmetic defects at the time of delivery will make you liable for the return shipping, replacement expenses and restocking fees.

Freight Deliveries: ModernClassic.com guarantees the secure delivery of your order by utilizing the best logistics companies available. In the rare event of damage occurring during transport by any of the delivery companies, we request that you inspect the package for any signs of damage upon receipt. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully examine the package for any holes, gouges or marks upon delivery, as a damaged package may indicate that the item was harmed during transit.

ModernClassic.com can only process any damage claims if the customer notes the condition of the package upon receipt (on the delivery receipt) during the delivery. Please indicate the specifics of the damage and mention "damaged in transit" on the delivery receipt. Failure to report damage at this time will make it impossible to file a claim against the shipping company or request a refund, replacement or return from ModernClassic.com. The customer must retain all original packaging for 14 days after delivery.

FedEx or Small Carrier Deliveries: If the package shows visible signs of damage upon delivery, we request that you inspect the contents of the package. If the damage is significant enough to warrant a full replacement item, please refuse the package. In the case of minor damage, such as to a handle, caster, button or any other small component, please accept the package and notify us immediately so that we can expedite the delivery of a replacement piece.

If damage is discovered after delivery, please contact [email protected] within 24 hours to file a claim. All claims MUST be made within this time frame from the receipt of the merchandise, and the customer is responsible for inspecting the contents and condition of the items within that 24-hour window. It is important to keep all original packaging for 14 days after delivery.

Local Deliveries: Upon receipt of your item, we kindly request that you carefully inspect it for any damage and make a note of it on the delivery receipt. If the damage is significant enough to require a full replacement, please refuse the package. In the event of minor damage, such as to a handle, caster, button or any other small component, please accept the package and notify us immediately so that we can expedite the delivery of a replacement piece.

It is important to note that all claims must be made within 24 hours of receiving the merchandise, and the customer is responsible for inspecting the contents and condition of the items within that time frame. Please keep all original packaging for 14 days after delivery.

To report any damages to your product, please do so within 24 hours of receiving it. If you need to return the item due to damage, please note that it will be treated as a regular return, and restocking fees as well as return shipping charges will apply. We request that the customer keep all original packaging for 14 days after delivery. In the event that you receive a damaged item, kindly send an email to [email protected] with a description of the problem and a photograph showing the issue.

Please note that ModernClassic cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries involving furniture that has been manufactured, purchased, sold, or drop-shipped from ModernClassic.com.

Delivery Attempts And Information

Freight Deliveries: If you have a residential freight delivery, the freight company will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment. If you miss your appointment, a new one will be scheduled and you will be charged a $75 re-delivery fee. Business deliveries will be made during normal business hours and all deliveries are curbside, requiring you to retrieve the merchandise from the truck. If you need additional services, such as a liftgate or inside delivery, please contact us at [email protected] for a quote.

FedEx or Small Carrier Deliveries: FedEx or other small carriers will attempt delivery three times. If delivery is unsuccessful, you can make further arrangements by calling 1.800.Go.FedEx. If the item is returned to our warehouse, you will be responsible for additional re-shipping/delivery charges and a $50 re-shipping fee to cover warehouse and administrative costs. All FedEx deliveries are sent via ground and are curbside.

Local Deliveries: You will receive a 3-hour time frame via email 24-48 hours prior to local delivery. If this time frame doesn't work for you, please notify us immediately. If you miss your delivery time, we will schedule a second appointment and you will be charged a $75 re-delivery fee. All local deliveries are curbside. Transfer Of Liability

We use reliable and well-known logistics companies to ship our products, and we do not handle your products directly. Shipping is not serviced by ModernClassic.com. If not otherwise requested, the ordered goods will be handed over to a transport company on your behalf. As soon as your product(s) have been handed over to the transport company, the responsibility for any damage or degradation of the ordered goods is transferred to the transport company.

Pricing

When you place your order, your card will be charged for the full amount. Coupon codes, when available, are valid during the activated date of the coupon code subject to ModernClassic Terms & Conditions. Expired coupon codes are not valid. Coupon codes must be used in the shopping cart at the time of purchase, and discounts or special offers are not valid after the order is placed. Coupon codes are not always available and vary with current site promotions. They are only valid for orders placed on the ModernClassic website and not valid with orders associated with other marketplaces, shopping engines, or auction sites. Expired promotions are not valid. ModernClassic is not responsible for expired promotional values still posted on external websites or the ModernClassic website. All coupon offers are limited to one per customer/delivery address, and are not valid on combined purchases, existing orders, returns, exchanges, or prior purchases. Coupons are only valid for purchases made in the continental USA. Any incorrect information on external sites is not the responsibility of ModernClassic.

Warranty

At ModernClassic.com, we subject our products to a series of rigorous quality control inspections to ensure that we deliver excellent products to our customers. We offer a six-month warranty on all our products, during which we will replace any manufacturing defect. However, our warranty does not cover general wear and tear. In the rare case that you receive a defective item, please email us at [email protected] with detailed images for review. *Our Barcelona Collection items come with a 5-year warranty.

Privacy Policy

We understand the importance of protecting our online visitors' privacy rights and comply with the guidelines of the Data Protection Act (1988) when collecting and using their information.

Conformity Of Goods

While we use high-quality materials to produce our items, reasonable variations in color or dimensions are not considered defects. Any variations in color caused by your browser software or computer system cannot be attributed to us. Additionally, some materials may have natural character, such as variations in shade, texture, color, or grain, which we do not consider as defects.

 

Special Promotions & Offers

All promotions and newsletter offers are subject to the terms and conditions on our website. Free gifts or promotional items may be delivered separately from the main product(s) ordered, and shipping outside the contiguous United States may incur additional shipping and processing fees. Free gifts are only available while stocks last and are limited to one per delivery address. Our offers are not valid with any other offer, combined purchases, past purchases, returns, exchanges, or when purchasing gift cards. The minimum purchase value does not include shipping or taxes. We reserve the right to change or discontinue any promotion or offer without prior notice, and gifts cannot be exchanged for a replacement of their value.
