The product
Hans J. Wegner's fascination with Picasso's Surrealist paintings of the 1930s inspired the creation of the Ox Chair and Ottoman in 1960, originally manufactured by AP Stolen of Denmark. After a hiatus of twenty-seven years, Erik Jorgensen's Manufacturing of Denmark reintroduced the iconic design in 1989. Since 2003, Modernica has meticulously handcrafted this internationally recognized piece, adhering faithfully to the original dimensions, frame construction, and materials. The Ox Chair and Ottoman stand as a timeless symbol of artistry and functionality, offering an affordable luxury that captures the essence of Wegner's visionary design.
