Heart Chair

Verner Panton, in the late 1950s, achieved a notable milestone in his design career. Introducing a furniture series featuring simple geometric shapes, he prefigured aspects of Pop Art, blending them with the refined execution of Scandinavian Modernism in the bases.

Among the standout designs from this series are the Cone Chair and the Heart Cone Chair. The latter derives its name from its heart-shaped outline. Its extended backrest wings evoke elements akin to Mickey Mouse ears, while also representing a modern interpretation of the traditional wingback chair.
