Fabricius and Kastholm's Scandinavian design left an indelible mark on design history. During the 1960s, their bucket seat introduced a fresh formal language: FK, marked by its distinctive form, defined contours, and flawless lines. The combination of a bucket-shaped seat and a three-star base resulted in a visually compelling piece that balanced volume with lightness, presenting a strikingly concise graphic image.

Recognized for its design excellence, the armchair received the first federal style prize for Gute Form in 1969, becoming an emblem of minimalistic design.
